Yeah, another gain. I can't seem to stop gaining weight. Short of fasting -- which I don't want to do, I don't know what will stop the gain. I need to eat, but I always seem to eat at a calorie excess, even when I try to control what I eat.

I often read people saying that they gain more weight at, let's say, 1,800 calories of mostly carbs compared to the same numbers of calories of mostly protein and fat. However, in my case, it doesn't make a real difference. I think when people say they gain more weight when eating mostly carbs, it's only that carbs are easier to overeat than protein or fat, especially when carbs are combined with fat. So basically they actually eat more calories when eating lots of carbs. Maybe that's what I am also doing, even when eating "faux carbs" (actually real carbs but less sugar).

Finally, my period started after a 37-day cycle! Since this cycle overlaps what would have been my next one if this one had been normal, there is a chance that this period lasts twice as usual. I'll wait and see, not much else that I can do.

At least my blood pressure is still fine. One of my ears keeps being blocked, probably some excess earwax. Putting hydrogen peroxyde drops has not worked, so I guess I will need to go to a clinic to have it drained. Which is always a problem. With the pandemic, I don't even know whether my clinic has regular opening hours and they are only open on weekdays, when I am super busy at work like every summer.
