Stopped weighing in and tracking what I’m eating through the holidays. I gained all the weight I lost prior to thanksgiving back on. I know I am still within a healthy weight range for my age and height, but I want to be more mindful with my eating.

I LOVE eating holidays and feasting. My husband is a former chef who has an incredibly high metabolism and now works a physical manual labor job delivering liquor beer and wine out in these freezing temperatures. I must be conscious that his caloric needs are not mine. Eating delicious food is one of our favorite things to do as a couple. I need to be the healthy influence in my own life that reminds myself to enjoy in moderation and to prioritize physical activity.

These days, my life is fairly sedentary as a therapist. I have to schedule in and prioritize movement and exercise for self care. I can’t just let myself go! I can do this. It is marathon. This recent weight gain should not make me throw in the towel. I got this. Ty FatSecret!
