Today I am logging in a gain. I gain 2.4 pounds. I also ate over my highest preferred calorie intake by 75 calories per day. It really doesn't take much to gain. That is essentially one apple.

What happened? Five out of seven days I was eating in restaurants one or two meals per day. It is difficult to gauge what to call what is served as I am not in the kitchen seeing it prepared. It is entirely possible that my guess of an extra 75 calories daily could be much higher. Unfortunately I could not have avoided the town days. Packing my lunch would not have worked well logistically. I could likely have made some better choices along the way. That is always a possibility since no one is insisting that I eat any particular item.

Myself and another Board member met with three town councils and two municipalities in this last week. I will meet with a third municipality next Tuesday. This required a great deal of driving and we were tied to the times that the councils were meeting so some times were in the afternoon and some in the evening. This Tuesday is a morning time. The good news is that we have heard from 3 councils who are giving us substantial support for the black mold remediation and rebuild at our Women's Shelter. The other two will be contacting us later. In between there were meetings at the Shelter to oversee how the work is progressing and meeting with contractors.

In between the above I have been meeting people at my father in law's who are purchasing larger items. I am usually there for 2-3 hours at a time. That was 3 days.

I swam two mornings this past week. 45 and 60 minutes respectively! Pretty good. I have to leave my house at 6am to make the pool schedule time for morning lane swim.

Oh yes, it is also -44F here which is affecting everything! Baby, it is cold out there.

I am usually a busy person but this has really ramped up! Next week is going to be 4 days in town which will mean one or two meals on each of those days.

I know, crazy, eh? This morning I have to see if my truck will start. My neighbour is out of water and his truck won't start. This morning it is the same temperature as yesterday. Weather is supposed to get warmer starting on Monday. We had a province wide alert on our phones last night telling us to to reduce our power usage, unplug space heaters, unplug our vehicles and to avoid using the oven and use the microwave instead otherwise we would be getting rolling power outages. This is a first for us.
