All I can say is "yay"! lol I've been waiting for what feels like FOREVER to make it out of this weird plateau/slump in loss. However, that's not the biggest win that comes with this weigh-in. I'm officially a month clean from ED behaviors!!! Not only that, but I'm also fast approaching a month sober from alcohol! It's been what feels like an age since I've been here. Realistically, I guess it's been three whole years, almost exactly. Needless to say, I'm rather ecstatic. It's been very hard work, but (I'm proud to say) also very worth it.

On the note of weight loss, I went honest to God clothes shopping for the first time in a VERY long time today and was shocked at how much body mass I'd lost. I was nowhere close to the size I expected or thought I could be. Part of that is definitely my still, unfortunately, warped body image, but the other part is the pure exciting aspect of this journey. Either way, I got a lovely dress out of it so I'm not complaining.

Anyways, ramble over, have this silly post gym selfie plus my sobriety progress :)

Congratulations on all your achievements! It's hard to combat all of them at once. How did you stop from being Bulimic? That is a hard one to stop. As I mentioned before I needed antidepressants to stop it.

YAY FOR YOU!!! As a former alcoholic myself (now an addiction counselor), I cannot be more happy for you and proud of you. To be conquering so much at the same time and seeing success is absolutely monumental. Do not underestimate yourself. YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Praying for continuing success, joy, peace, comfort, and all the things that come so much easier when we slay those dragons. 🐉 Yay, You!!! ❤️

Congratulations. Continue to focus on your addiction first. The weight will just be a bonus. Mental health is the most important thing. I’m glad you see how they all intertwine. Alcohol is poison period. Yet, as a society it’s been approved. I think of it as rat poison. Would you like a shot? Hmm no thanks! Keep up the good work.

The amount of how much I felt this to my soul is insane I’m proud of you for both. Any addiction is truly hard. I was a drug addict for over a decade and now I am not. But with getting clean I’ve gained 35 lbs and I feel huuuuge my brain tells me I’m huge and I just want to eat healthy and exercise and be happy I even quit smoking cigarettes a month ago

Beautiful Chaos, quitting smoking is the equivalent of eating an extra 250 calories a day. You would not believe the amount of research I had to do to find that number. But you can't know how much to adjust your calories if you don't know the hit it does to your metabolism. But it will level back out within about 6 months. So hang in there and be assured that even though the scale can shoot up quickly at first, that won't last. The average weight gain is 5-10 lbs. So if you can compensate for the extra calories (in slower metabolism), you can negate that quite well. Aids like lozenges or nicotine gum will delay the metabolism drop, but the drop will happen when you stop those. So just be aware. Good luck!!

cool! and i relate. i recently hit the under 120 mark and was so excited. I'm back up to 120 today, but still. it seems like it's dumb wanting to get the last 3 lbs off, but I'm also SUPER small, so 3 lbs on me is like 20 lbs on someone else. I'm excited for you that you list that extra 1lb! you look like you're really small framed as well. good luck!!!
