Bit of a gray day here this morning. Light rain fell during the night so it is cooler but humid. I really feel like we are looking at an early fall. It just feels end of summerish.
So tonight after 6pm I begin my 24 hr Lunar fast. I think I shld try to beef up (haha) my protein today, and need to pick up some coconut water sometime today. That always helps a lot during fasting.
Son is coming over after lunchtime today to look at (and hopefully fix) a little plumbing issue which I inadvertently turned into a bigger issue with lye... which formed a solid lye plug 😭He's going to kill me... Pray he is merciful on the grounds I brought him into this world. 😬 Im going to make him a good supper. Maybe I should make dessert... 😅

My hardy amaryllis have bloomed already and they used to not bloom until mid August but everything is off seasonally now. We are supposed to have above average precipitation and below average temps here. So glad you have a son willing to help you!

Oh I bet that is beautiful Morticia, such a lovely bloom. Youre right, the seasons are a bit off. We havent had a good snow here in prolly 5 years. Thank God I do! Tho sometimes he is less willing and more loyal. LOL!

Mountain Man he was. Glad to report I am still amongst the living. And as usual he wouldnt let me pay for a thing he needed from the hardware store. I raised a good one. Even tho he IS grumpy sometimes!

I didn't know that, but man is it good. Used to make it all the time when son lived at home. Make it with lots brown sugar. Best still warm with yep vanilla ice cream. Mm
