Made it through potluck before Dominoes last night by bringing an organic veggie tray to share and a measured portion of beef fillet for myself. Tasted meatloaf and Chinese chicken. Not 100% on protocol but was satisfied and could tell the hostess that the mestloaf was good. Had a small piece (about 1/2 once) of the Orange chicken so I wouldn't feel like I missed out. Would have shared beef fillet but what I had was cold from what I cooked this week. There is only about 3 oz. left so will have it today. Also came home with cauliflower, brocolli peppers and carrots. I will give the dip to my daughter today with some of the veggies. I brought Sweet and Spicy caffeine. free tea bags to flavor my water. So made it through without the cherry pie and vanilla ice crean everyone wascraving about. I know it would have kicked me out of ketosis and it just wasn't worth it. After I have successfully lost the abnormal fat and stabilized for a long time I can have a sweet now and then if I want to. I know the sweets and starches aren't going anywhere. I live in an area and a land of excess. Funny I still need to remind myself that I can have it (whatever "it") is later. "It" isn't running out or going anywhere.
