You know what I try not to let the set backs bother me any more. Yes I get a shade disappointed when I'm working hard at it, and there's a backward step. But the best thing for me almost about FS is that my record shows, I tend to bounce around a bit and back and forwards too. Some nutritionist said weight loss is not linear. But when I look back over all over the last several weeks, if the general trajectory is a downward direction, I can be ok with it. Another help is tracking measurements, This has shown me in the past that the needle might not move on the dial, but I can still be down half an inch in circumference. I think, this helps you understand, that your eating plan changes and exercise changes, these can lead to internalised improvement in muscle gain andd strenght which can show up in shrinking dimensions, so your clothes feel looser etc but that the loss is fat loss which weighs less than muscle so your scales won't see it. ANyhoo, keeping a notebook on this and recording measurements for the last 11 years has really helped drum this home. You can be thinner,, healthier, have more energy, look more alive and vigorous and yet not have lost weight. Keep that one in your mind. Don't get to weighed down on what the scales say. Me, I'm in a bit of a plateau, but I've been here before. Trick is to just not lose faith and keep to the game plan. Hope this keeps your spirits up and positive :)
