I find myself really focused on my goal. When asked "Why are you doing this," my reply is "I want to be on the outside what I am on the inside." Being overweight in this society is the new normal and frankly that's not who I really am nor who I want to be.
The downside of this week is taking the compliments. On the one hand, the people I know want to be encouraging, which is great. However, the person who knows the really truth (besides you the reader) is me. While I look a thousand times better than before I'm not in the place where I want to say (or for that matter anyone else will say) "Wow, I look fabulous!" And that's the place I want to be: for my health, for my own sense of well being, and to live into the lifestyle and person I know that I am. This week was one more step towards living into that. Joy in the journey!
