Hi! I weight train at least 3 days/week but for most weeks in the past 6 months I have met my goal and trained 5 days/week.

Lambie I do no go to the gym or have a trainer. I read a couple of fitness books back in January/February. I then bought 2 adjustable dumbbells and a bench. I have almost outgrown my dumbbell set so I need to figure out if I want to expand my home gym or start a membership somewhere, probably in the next month or so.

Congratulations you are doing great! Look for weights on Offer Up or Next Door. That's how I got mine.

That's such a great story! How are you measuring muscle and body fat?

Jen I started off guesstimate based on those visuals showing what different percentage ranges look like. Then I was using a composition scale which I found to be essentially useless. I just started using calculator.net which has a body fat calculator. It uses circumference measurements and seems to be pretty accurate based on what I would estimate using the visuals.

LOL, ya, the scale comp is basically useless for me too. I think measurements and calipers are the best! Some days my "muscle" weight will fluctuate by over 5 pounds. Thats totally impossible. I did a body fat Dexa scan last fall. I might do another but don't really care to spend the money. As long as we are seeing progress and doing the work!
