I've been weighing daily but only recording losses. My weight was just yo-yo-ing for days 4 ounces down, 6 ounces up and so on. So yesterday I drank more fluids (I rarely get enough fluids) cause I knew I was retaining fluids. Sure enough, down a pound in a day. Just a testament that the scales are not the best measurement of progress. I have more energy. That is progress. I'm sure that, in the very near future, my clothes will be fitting more losely. But I'll continue weighing in every day because I find creating habits helpful to keep me on track.

What really helps me with weight loss is being active. I've been struggling with that a lot over the past year because of issues with my feet/ankles and pelvic prolapse issues. I've been feeling like I'm in a Catch-22 situation. I know that losing weight can potentially help with those things, but it's because of the pain associated with those things that I haven't been as active as I'm used to. I've been feeling like I'm fighting a losing battle. But I refuse to give up. This past week I've lost four pounds. I know it has been because I've been really, really active AND making better choices, but I've been paying for it with a LOT of pain in my ankles and feet. However, I have a plan. First, Hubby and I put a pool up. Now I can exercise without the constant pain in every step I take. Second, he ordered the tires and tubes to fix my bike. Again, non-impact exercise and (hopefully) a way to strengthen my ankles. I have hope again. Once I get this weight off I'm really, really hoping it takes some of the stress off of the rest of my body.
