all my planning and organization to backpack over the the memorial weekend (thur-tues)was a bust.
At least I didn't gain...guess that's a plus.
be at least a couple of months before I can try a multi-day again.

rough, over indulgent week...paid the price.
Bit upset, went shooting with my buddy and like an idiot I shot my loading rod out of the muzzle loader! Hurt (bruised) my shoulder with a herculean strength recoil. Took the rifle to a gunsmith to have it inspected, fortunately there was no damage. My bench rod (I've used for 20+years doing this)---ruined.
Looks like this weekend (memorial day) I'll be trying my hand at a short backpacking trip, try out the new knee, my lower weight conditioning AND test (boost?) my self-esteem. Anyway , other than throwing food into no-feed bear-can I'm all set. Do wish I had someone to go with, but oh, well...gotten used to being a lone wolf.

back on track?
I'd really like to hit that 206 mark again, even if it had every one asking if I was sick I actually felt (physically) better than at any other point.
