Feels great to be back in control of what goes into my mouth! No alcohol has made weight loss a little easier this time for a couple of reasons--fewer calories, alcohol is metabolized first before any other calories, and I am more in control of avoiding the 'bread basket' when I haven't had a glass or two of wine. I do miss it once in a while but find that after I have an iced tea or diet coke and begin eating, I don't notice it. My husband has kindly switched to beer (which I have no taste for) so I don't need to watch him enjoying wine when I'm passing it up. Finally--saves lots on the restaurant bill :)
