Can't believe it's almost Easter. This whole exercise/weight loss lifestyle sure seems to use up a lot of time and energy. (yeah, yeah, I know...I'm worth it : ) Well, I've finished my work out (30 Day Shred, level 3, Power Sculpt 1 & 3, Cardio Max 1 & 2 and yoga cool down - not quite an hour and a half, but about 550 calories burned)I need to shower and hit the store for Easter dinner. Mmm...challenge will be to make a dinner that is "typical" of the celebration without loading up on fat and sugar. I think I'll still do the ham, maybe some asparagus and baby carrots, a few new potatoes...any ideas out there? : ) Tomorrow we'll be hiking, so I want to get what I need today. The hikes we've been doing lately wipe me out so much there's no way I can believe I'll be up to hitting the grocery store tomorrow evening : ). Happy Easter everyone!

You can add a salad, and then keep in mind that if you use grains anywhere, make them whole grains as much as possible... so if you're having rolls, have whole wheat or multi-grain rolls. They'll have more fiber in them and be better for you than the white flour rolls. The other thing to remember is that the more color in your food, the more nutrients you keep... so vary the colors in your salad if you do that, vary the colors of vegetables (asparagus and carrots is good), etc. All of those things should help.

Wow what a nice workout you did today! I'm so jealous of your commitment, lol! I wanted to tell you I got that book you've been telling me about - Eat This, Not that! I am really excited and I CANNOT believe some of the things I am reading in there!! I also picked up a cookbook something like $7 Healthy Meals or something. Has the calories of the recipes right in the book so I'm hoping it'll be helpful and tasty, lol! Hope you have a great easter!
